During the Fall 2021 semester, over 100 clinical hours were completed as part of the Doctoral Practicum in Counseling (CEP721) course. Counseling was provided in the Downing Counseling Clinic and at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada, as well as through the facilitation of practicum and group counseling classes.

During the Spring 2021 semester, the candidate developed Directional Counseling Theory (DCT) which is influenced by Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). DCT also integrates career theory, pulling from the works of Krumboltz, Super, and Gottfredson.

This paper, from the Spring 2021 semester, expounds on Pepper's mechanism hypothesis, one of six described in his 1942 paper on world hypotheses.

Over the 2022 Summer, the candidate completed written comps, including this counseling response item on Evidence Based Counseling Practices for Military Populations.
